Contest Changes, Restrictions, And Guidelines

Just a quick post with some changes and clarifications for anyone submitting designs to the contest:

You may only enter the contest once.
We've made a change to the contest rules restricting each member to only one entry at a time. Once your entry completes scoring, you may then submit another design if you wish. This is to ensure the quality of the designs that are up for voting. We'd prefer that members spend their energy making one spectacular design instead of submitting a bunch of less stellar ones.

All artwork you submit must be entirely created by you.
This means any photographs would have been taken by you, any patterns you use are created by you, etc. If you spot a design that uses artwork stolen from somewhere else, please help us spot it by clicking the Report This link located under the design's title, or send us an email.

We will no longer be accepting designs which are just a single photograph, or a single repeating pattern.
We are looking for designs which are unique and obviously took some effort to create. Take a look at the winners so far and you'll see what we mean. If you are in doubt on whether or not your entry is up to snuff, submit it as a critique first.

We welcome you to comment on these guidelines below and let us know what you think. Also, thank you everyone for your entries so far! Keep them coming!

Good ideas, especially the last two. Anyone can paste a picture into photoshop and call it their design. Hopefully this will put a stop to that sort of thing. Besides, submitting something like that just wastes everybodies time! angry_smile.gif

LPGA gets new leader.

4. LPGA gets new leader. The LPGA had 35 events on its schedule when Carolyn Bivens took over as taylormade r9 irons commissioner in 2005, and only 10 had signed on for 2010 when she was finally ousted in June. She was a victim of her own failed hardball tactics; marketing whiz Michael Whan took her spot.

5. Drug bust. Journeyman golfer Doug Barron tested positive for banned substances and was banned for a ishiner year by the PGA Tour taylor made r9 irons. Barron challenged the PGA Tour's drug-testing policies in court but failed to win an injunction to allow him to compete in the Tour's qualifying tournament. Further legal action is expected.

6. Honey, I shrunk the Tour. Sponsors and advertising dollars are getting harder to come by. The PGA Tour schedule r9 irons has one less stop in '10 (Milwaukee). The Nationwide has two fewer with 27 (after adding a new event in Pittsburgh area). The Champions tour remains at 26.
